INTAKE 2026 APPLICATIONS OPEN 1ST SEPTEMBER 2025

Our Specialty Training

Malaysian doctors may pursue Family Medicine Specialist (FMS) training using the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) curriculum and assessment. The curriculum is a contextualized version of the ICGP curriculum. Assessment is conducted by the ICGP, leading to the Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners (MICGP), with all exams contextualized for Malaysia.

The training will be delivered within local schemes. Each trainee will complete their training within one scheme, undertaking two years in hospital practice and two years in Family Medicine clinics within that scheme.
