From 30 June to 13 July 2025, Year 2 trainees from Cohort 2023 took part in the Primary Care Learning Week, a dedicated two-week virtual programme. The session was designed as a period of self-directed learning, giving trainees protected time away from their usual duties to focus on preparing for the next stage of their training journey.

This transition marks an important milestone, as they move into Year 3 and begin their placements as Family Medicine Specialist (FMS) trainees in Klinik Kesihatan (MOH health clinics).

During this period, trainees engaged with learning resources, reflected on their clinical experiences, and reviewed key competencies to ensure they are well-prepared for the demands and responsibilities of working in a primary care setting.

The protected time also allowed them to plan their professional development goals, consolidate knowledge, and build confidence ahead of this significant step.
