The Research Week for the Central and Southern Region was held from 29 September to 2 October 2025 (Monday–Thursday) at Flexi Hall 3, Academy of Medicine Building, Putrajaya.

This engaging workshop featured interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics, including data collection methods, research methodology, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, writing for publication, as well as group work and discussions.

The sessions proved to be highly valuable for all trainees, offering them an excellent opportunity to develop their research themes and collaborative groups. Participants gained deeper insights into the research process and recognised its essential role as a core component of the 4-year Family Medicine Specialist (FMS) training under MInTFM. It was an inspiring and productive week that truly strengthened the trainees’ research foundation and fostered a spirit of academic curiosity and collaboration.
