Professor Emeritus Sureswaran Ramadass

Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass is a globally respected expert in next-generation internet technologies, with a strong focus on 5G, IPv6, and digital innovation. As Chair of the Asia Pacific IPv6 Council and Professor Emeritus at the Malaysian University of Science and Technology (MUST), he has led regional and international initiatives in network engineering and digital transformation.

He was the founding Director of the National Advanced IPv6 Centre (NAV6) at Universiti Sains Malaysia, where he played a pivotal role in Malaysia’s national IPv6 deployment. His work with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and other global bodies continues to shape internet infrastructure and digital policy worldwide.

With over 200 publications, 12 patents, and numerous international awards—including the “Anugerah Tokoh Negara” for innovation—Prof. Sureswaran combines academic excellence with real-world impact. At RUMC, he spearheads the Medical Informatics programme, bridging advanced technologies with modern healthcare to prepare students for the future of digital health.
