Short Bio
Dr. Gobinath Ramachawolran is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Foundation at RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus. He earned his PhD, MSc, and BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from AIMST University. His research focus encompasses animal biotechnology, molecular biology, and the study of traditional medicine and natural products. With professional experience spanning both academia as a Deputy Principal and the pharmaceutical industry as a Regulatory Executive, he bridges the gap between theoretical research and applied science. Dr. Ramachawolran is a recognized reviewer for several Springer Nature journals and maintains active memberships in national biosafety and biotechnology societies.
Clinical / Industry Experience
Dr. Gobinath Ramachawolran served as a Regulatory Executive at Teraputics Sdn. Bhd. from 2009 to 2011, where he specialized in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry. He also served as Deputy Principal at Regent International School, where he oversaw school administration and taught Biology at the IGCSE level, contributing to both academic leadership and student development.

Research Interests
Dr. Gobinath Ramachawolran’s current research interests focus on the pharmacological evaluation of phytochemicals for treating diseases such as diabetes and SARS-CoV-2. He is also actively exploring the biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles for antimicrobial applications and the environmental impact of pesticides on aquatic life.
