Short Bio
Dr. Liang Kueh Beh completed his undergraduate medical course in December 1984 at the University of New South Wales, Australia. After completing internship in Sydney, he served as Medical Officer at various public hospitals in both East Malaysia and West Malaysia. This allowed him the opportunity of working and training in all major clinical disciplines particularly in Internal Medicine.
He commenced medical subspecialty training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine after obtaining MRCP, principally through the Registrar Training Rotations, Northern And Yorkshire Health Authority, The United Kingdom.
Following his return to Malaysia from The Uniterd Kingdom, Dr. Beh served as Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Pantai Hospital Penang from June 1997 till retirement from the private medical practice in January 2026. He was one of the pioneering Consultants at the hospital and was instrumental in the establishment of the Medical ward, Coronary Care Uniit, and a state of the art Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit.
With over forty years of overseas as well as local public and private hospital practice, Dr, Beh has gained extensive clinical practice experience and much insight into the holistic care of patients in all grades of severity. He had also undertaken bedside teaching of medical students, junior doctors and MRCP candidates.
