Short Bio
Fairuz Fadzilah Rahim is a Senior Lecturer and Statistician in the Department of Public Health Medicine at RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus. She holds a Master of Science in Medical Statistics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Professions Education from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Her expertise spans biostatistics and applied public health research, including behavioural studies, communicable diseases, and adolescent and maternal health.
Ms. Fairuz contributes to institutional research leadership through her roles as Research Module Coordinator and Secretary Member of the RUMC Ethics Committee, supporting research governance, students research supervision, and methodological quality assurance. Her work integrates analytical rigour with applied public health research, particularly in studies involving vulnerable and underserved populations.
Clinical / Industry Experience
Ms. Fairuz has extensive experience in designing and analysing community-based and mixed-methods studies, with particular expertise in survival analysis and advanced quantitative analysis. She collaborates with governmental agencies and academic institutions on public health initiatives addressing indigenous health, children, adolescent and maternal wellbeing, communicable diseases, and programme evaluation.
Her applied research integrates robust statistical methodology with real-world implementation, supporting evidence-informed decision-making and policy development. Through her roles in ethics governance and research training, she also contributes to strengthening institutional standards in research design, compliance, and analytical quality.
